Kementerian Negara Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional - Kementerian PPN or the Ministry of National Development Planning is the ministry in the Indonesian government with main task to formulate the national development planning. Kementerian PPM operates the National Development Planning Agency (Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional/BAPPENAS), an agency which is responsible for formulating national development planning in Indonesia, both annual, five-years, and long-term planning. BAPPENAS also has a responsibility to coordinate foreign development cooperation, both bilateral and multilateral. The Ministry is based in Jakarta and its head office is registered at Jl Taman Suropati No 2 Jakarta 10310. Since October 2014, public policy expert Andrinof Chaniago was appointed by the President Joko Widodo as the Minister of National Development Planning/Head Bappenas. As of July 2013, BAPPENAS has 846 dedicated staff.
